The Day MyNewMe Truly Became International

60-Day Programme — Day 21~2 min read
Le jour où MyNewMe est devenu vraiment international
Today, I had this magical moment where I navigated my site in English for the first time. Everything worked. The buttons, the menus, the notifications—everything switched seamlessly. It was the confirmation that MyNewMe was no longer just French: it was truly international. Over the last few hours, I've transformed 250+ text strings with a simple, elegant pattern. 27 files touched. Every label, every error message, every tooltip now bilingual. No heavy framework—just smart architecture: a `useLocale()` hook for components, a `lang` cookie for the server, middleware that automatically detects the user's language. I also perfected multi-device push notifications. If someone uses MyNewMe on their phone AND their computer, both devices receive the message. And my UX Journal? Finalized. Sorted by time, with colored dots to visually identify each module. Of course, there were obstacles. A bug in Turbopack related to `AlertCircle`—45 minutes to trace that one line of code. An AI cron that crashed for three different nested reasons. Push notifications that opened blank pages instead of content. But that's what transformation is: every obstacle overcome makes the system stronger. With English now, I'm opening doors to 1.5 billion people instead of 300 million. It's more than a technical feature—it's an audience multiplier. And honestly? I'm genuinely excited to start this adventure on Humans.team. I'm taking time for myself, every single day, on purpose.
